It seems any attempt at negotiations have failed and Trump’s plan to place a 25% tariff on goods coming into the US from Canada and Mexico are set to begin implementation on Tuesday (with an exception on energy which has a 10% tariff). This coincides with Trump’s promised 10% tariff on goods from China, which will be added to existing tariffs on Chinese goods.
