Escalation in Ukraine-Russia War

On Tuesday, November 19, 2024 after President Joe Biden gave the go-ahead, Ukraine fired US made long-range missiles ATACMS1 into Russia on the 1,000th day of the Ukraine-Russia War. Russia then retaliated by launching mid-ranged ICBMS2, without the Nuclear war-head, into Ukraine as a warning on Thursday, November 21, 2024.

President Vladimir Putin reportedly signed a new war doctrine on November 19, which lowers the threshold for nuclear weapon response ie. making nuclear response no longer just a deterrence measure or for extreme circumstances.

With now almost 3 years of conflict both leaders; Putin and Zelensky are unlikely to back down and Biden’s encouragement of Zelensky has raised the question of whether this the US government & Deep State’s plan to cause chaos in the world before the President elect Donald Trump steps into office. Perhaps it was always in the Biden-Harris camp’s plan to support Ukraine until the very end, however, domestically the US population has grown increasingly uninterested in being involved in foreign conflict especially at a time where the economy and security are the top concerns. While there may be legitimate reasons to not want Russia imposing themselves on Ukraine, to ‘poke the bear’ and encourage war by endlessly funding Ukraine when victory is still unsure and to not encouraging peace talks is incredibly irresponsible. It has now been viewed by some as way to throw the ‘hot potato’ or this conflict to the next candidate in an attempt to destabilize the nation (US), and blame it on the new President Trump, while also being a long time plan to enriching the elite who run the ‘war machine’ and who only grow richer the longer the conflict.

Reuters has reported that Putin is open to a peace deal brokered by Trump and his conditions to peace include: freezing the conflict at the present front lines, dividing control of certain regions and the use Russian language in the Russian controlled areas. Also, Russia has understandably been continually uncomfortable with NATO expansion in Europe and one of Russia’s conditions for peace is no presence of NATO troops in Ukraine and for Ukraine to not join NATO.
