Psalm 23:4
New King James Version
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
Christian Standard Bible
Even when I go through the darkest valley, I fear no danger, for you are with me…
As I contemplate and meditate on this psalm, I realize that my interpretation and revelation of it has changed. It’s always been a famous and moving verse but I didn’t connect with the message at a deeper level. It was difficult to relate to it because these were the words of King David, a key figure in history, a man who had authority and great responsibility over an important nation. A man of war who faced many battles and had such boldness and confidence and who inspired his subordinates to do the same.
David was victorious since a youth, and he took every task given to him seriously, from tending sheep, to serving under King Saul, to becoming King himself. He was a man who had uncommon faith and confidence in the Word of God, he sought God like no other from his household, his tribe, or from among his countrymen; he was a real King-priest, a man after God’s heart. He didn’t think of church and state as separate; other kings called on prophets, priests, magicians and all kinds of diviners and normally only in emergencies or when they really needed divine consultation, but David was different. He knew how to call upon God himself, he knew how to relate with God, how to communicate with him effectively and how to please him.
This is the background of the verse quoted above. This King is the same character from the great book (the bible) who was indignant at the thought of any person, whether warrior, or giant, or beast who dared come against God’s covenant armies (1 Samuel 17). He knew that if the ultimate authority, the God of all gods was on his side and on the side of the armies of Israel, then nothing could come against him successfully; no fear was necessary.

So with that in mind I thought, ‘what kind of shadow of death could a person, living in modern comforts really face?’ I once thought these bible verses were deep things for people facing specific kind of deep trouble but now I see that not every pit is the same whole in the dirt. Now I see that all kinds of lies and fears thrust our way daily is also a pit. Reporting deaths inaccurately during a pandemic & heightened fear globally is a pit. Our governments lying to us, mismanaging funds intentionally, making a mock/ pageantry of our elections is also a shadowy valley!
Economic uncertainty, failing marriages and broken homes are also a dark valley! Open, uncontrolled boarders and foreign infiltration of our homelands, that too is a shadowy valley! Rise of anxiety, ADHD and a sleuth of mental health plagues, suicide epidemics among the youth and all kinds of insecurities and incapability among them, is a dangerous valley! The eroding of securities for the elderly, and overall declining quality of life for people, especially in big cities, is a very dangerous valley!
Life is spiritual, and though those who leave in peaceful lands aren’t facing war, we live in and era of false security. We are like Guinea pigs for powers that seek a 100 ways to slice us open but without a sword! All you have to do is look at the news and current events to see how we can actually relate to King David’s sentiment. We are encompassed all about by hidden enemies. Our physical health is at stake, our mental wellbeing at stake, our children’s education, our financial soundness and so much more is at stake! Our freedoms and rights are all being erased one edict at a time…
Brothers and Sisters with the things going on around the world spiritually and in the physical we are in a war and face many battles…
The news everyday is like a compilation of evil works, it’s the Chronicles of Evil:
- Eugenicists / Globalists and their population control agenda
- Pharmacia (Merchants) taking over the health industry prioritizing profits over progress (I will expand on this & other points in posts to come)
- Vaccines (have they ever even been effective, or the biggest scam of humanity? – I will explore more)
- Modified foods and poisons in everyday consumer products
- War (Military Industrial Complex), profiting from wars and wars as a distraction for bigger global political plans
- Poverty (artificial, man-made poverty), the attack on farmers globally
- Natural disasters being used as an opportunity to place ’emergency’ policies that can be used against a people and their sovereignty
- Man-made environmental disasters (business sanctioned science and men trying to play God)
- Green Movement lies and hypocrisy
- AI and science being weaponized against people instead of being used to make people’s life easier
- The Occult: (all kinds of groups, all different names and chapters but all Satanic in nature)

The Weapons of Our Warfare:
You and I dear reader, are not just people in modern luxury but in fact in a spiritual war. Though this list is full of very real problems, started by real people, our battle is not physical, and our weapons of warfare are not fleshly. It’s a fight of faith and a battle for the souls of men.
“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” – Ephesians 6:12
My goal here is not to instill fear or panic but to lay out the issue then propose the solution and the solution is in the Word of God, the church, and in what the Lord God is doing through his church today. We are the ones to intervene because God needs us to pray in order to fix this, he wants everyone well and living in peace but we were made free-willed autonomous creatures, God doesn’t impose his will on us, he needs our corporation to intervene in our lives and he needs his people praying for others, interceding for the nations.
Now prayer is not the ‘be all & end all’ but it is the start and it is the most important and most powerful step. Of course we have to know (read and study) the word of God so we know how to pray & below, I offer some scripture to guide our prayers. But prayer is so important to fix things, if our ability to talk, walk, touch, see and smell things is how we navigate through life on earth, then prayer, meditation on the Word of God and making confessions and declarations of power is how we navigate the spiritual.
First we have to pray then we can: vote/ organize/ petition/ sue/ enterprise/ invent something to effect changes in our world.
A Perfect Guide to Start in 1 Timothy 2:
1. Pray for all people & leaders first:
“I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority …” – 1 Timothy 2:1
2. We have to pray if we want to live in peace:
“…Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity.” – 1 Timothy 2:2
3. Pray knowing it’s God’s desire that everyone lives well:
“This is good and pleases God our Savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth.” – 1 Timothy 2:3-4
In other words we are not begging God to bless people but we are working together with him, (it’s almost like convincing someone who is easy to convinced. For example, when God wanted to destroy the city of Sodom because of their grievous sins, Abraham was able to calm God and easily convince him to not destroy the city if there were even 10 righteous men in the city. Even though Abraham reduced the number from 50 righteous men to 10, God probably would’ve agreed to less than 10 righteous men because God agreed with Abraham that he would not destroy the righteous along with the evil if good could be found apart from Abraham) (Genesis 18).
This was an old testament story, think how much more grace and mercy is freely available today from God since Jesus Christ paid the price for all men’s?
4. Use the name: We have the power and authority in Jesus Christ:
“For, There is one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus. He gave his life to purchase freedom for everyone…” – 1 Timothy 2:5
Using the name of Jesus Christ we can free so many from evil ideas and influences and all kinds of strongholds, we just ask the Father (God) in the name of Jesus Christ. We can also make declarations in the name of Jesus and what we declare the earth, all elements, creatures and demons must conform.
5. Lift up your hands in prayer:
“In every place of worship, I want men to pray with holy hands lifted up to God, free from anger and controversy.” – 1 Timothy 2:8
6. It’s all done in the name of love:
“I want men to pray … free from anger and controversy.” – 1 Timothy 2:8
God is love and the scriptures say having great power, or diverse tongues is all worthless if you do not have love and it’s having love that proves you know and belong to God. Show compassion by praying for your fellow man, but do so without any grudges, hatred or doubt in your own heart.
Have No Fear, The Lord Saves His People:
As for the evil at all levels against us today, have no fear. The Lord is not mocked, he knows how to save his people and how to judge evil, remember that light is greater than darkness (John 1:5), no matter how pitch black it is, even the smallest light will clear the darkness.
2 Peter 2:6-9 (CEV)
“God punished the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah by burning them to ashes, and this is a warning to anyone else who wants to sin. Lot lived right and was greatly troubled by the terrible way those wicked people were living. He was a good man, and day after day he suffered because of the evil things he saw and heard. So the Lord rescued him. This shows that the Lord knows how to rescue godly people from their sufferings and to punish evil people while they wait for the day of judgment.”
Satan and his children cannot challenge God successfully, though they believe they can, they have indeed imagined a vain thing and have failed in understanding.
“The Lord is especially hard on people who disobey him and don’t think of anything except their own filthy desires. They are reckless and proud and are not afraid of cursing the glorious beings in heaven. Although angels are more powerful than these evil beings, even the angels don’t dare to accuse them to the Lord. These people are no better than senseless animals that live by their feelings and are born to be caught and killed. They speak evil of things they don’t know anything about. But their own corrupt deeds will destroy them.” They have done evil, and they will be rewarded with evil. They think it is fun to have wild parties during the day. They are immoral, and the meals they eat with you are spoiled by the shameful and selfish way they carry on.”
This part of the also reminds of the verse that explains that those who sin and enjoy their sin don’t realize that sin mocks them:
Fools make a mock of sin and sin mocks the fools [who are its victims…] but among the upright there is the favour of God.
“They promise freedom to everyone. But they are merely slaves of filthy living, because people are slaves of whatever controls them.”
Despite all the talk of the wicked and punishment, God is merciful and we should pray for ALL people even wicked people, that they come to their senses and are delivered from evil, that they will be born again and change their lives for the better and use their talents and positions for the benefit of all people. Amen
